Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy
for Neck and Shoulder Pain
We’ll be exploring the incredible work of Drs. Travell & Simons, whose books on Myofascial Pain & Dysfunction have been the Gold Standard in mapping out Myofascial Trigger Points and factors affecting their formation and elimination. This detailed specific work will help you target the source of pain to help keep your clients pain-free so that they may enjoy many years of quality of life and optimal function. In addition, self-treatment techniques will help your clients gain more from your work by helping them understand how they can reduce and eliminate their pain and dysfunction on a daily basis in between treatment sessions.
Each participant will receive a variety of self-treatment balls to keep. There will also be other self-treatment tools available to purchase.
After taking this course, the learner will be able to:
- Understand the concept of Myofascial Trigger Points and how to treat them effectively
- Palpate, Identify and self-treat Myofascial Trigger Points
- Understand the concepts of Precipitating and Perpetuating factors
- Be able to instruct a client how to apply these self-treatment techniques to themselves
Are you ready to learn more specific ways to treat the body to become a more efficient therapist? If so, I hope you’ll join me for this informative and fun class.
