Our vision for educating students of massage and yoga training is to meet the growing demands of a health care system that is shining a spotlight on self-care, wellness, and prevention. We want to encourage and empower anyone with an interest in therapeutic massage or yoga to pursue their passion and help transform our health care industry into one that is client-centered and preventative.

Our Programs

LHAA offers 2 core training programs and a continuing education curriculum. Our central programs are Massage Therapy and Yoga Teacher Training.

Our goal with each of our programs is to provide highly focused course work and hands-on training so that, upon graduation, you will have the knowledge and tools you need to pursue a career in your field of study. The success rate of our graduates is a component of the Academy that we take very seriously. Your relationship with LHAA does not end after your graduation. We have established a Job Placement Assistance Program and we provide continued networking and support throughout your career.

Our Services

In addition to our training programs, we also offer classes for our students and the greater Lexington community, including affordable massage sessions and regular yoga classes. We also offer workshops and continuing education.

Our History

The Academy was founded in the summer of 1999 and the first Massage Therapy Training Program was started in September 1999.

From the beginning the Academy has focused exclusively on creating a high standard of education for the Massage Therapy field. Since then, the school has graduated over 45 classes of students in the Massage Therapy program and has developed, hosted and taught continuing education classes for advanced learning in massage and bodywork.

During the summer of 2008 the school broadened its scope of offerings to include daily Yoga classes, an intensive Yoga Teacher Training program, and other holistic healthcare workshops available to the public.
