Congratulations to LHAA Massage Students on their Exam Pass Rate

Lexington Healing Arts Academy massage therapy students passed their licensing exams at rate that was significantly higher than state and national averages. As the School Pass Rate Report received April 28, 2015 from the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards reveals, among LHAA students taking the exam, 90% passed. By comparison the pass rate for the State of Kentucky is 74.7%, and Nationally is 62.3%.

We are very proud of our students and the hard work they put in preparing not just for this licensing exam, but also for a successful career devoted to the wellness of their clients.

What makes us different?

Our Massage Therapy Training program is designed to prepare graduates to excel in their chosen field. They learn the science, techniques, and business of massage therapy over the course of 720 hours of instruction and education. In the classroom experienced educators go beyond the basics and give students a foundation in sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology. Rather than simply teaching therapeutic massage technique, they share a knowledge of the workings of the human body, and just how massage can impact overall wellness, alleviate specific symptoms, play a role in recovery from illness or injury, and more.

Moving out of the classroom students also get extensive, hands on, real world experience before graduation. Through 108 hours of supervised clinic experience future LMTs get to hone their skills on actual massage clients, developing not only their technique but also the interpersonal and communication skill that are so crucial to an effective massage therapy practice, all in a controlled environment.
